Art exhibition season 2010 / 2011 – Closing Party

“MySquaredCities – Windows” is a series of shots coming from the emotional filter that Riccardo Ciatti put on international and European cities towards he feels a special bond and that led him to the third place during the regional qualification at the last edition of MarteLive Contest in 2011.  Cities such as London, Berlin and New York  are gathered in photographs conceived as windows with unusual and different point of view. Cities captured with a personal-and-emotional eye, which  colours and chromatic intensity change according to the mood and the state of mind the photographer was while he observed, experienced and took the pictures. Cities hard to recognize sometimes, particularly for those who have never walked those streets and squares, or spotted by assonance and conceptual proposals that Riccardo offers through the titles of each painting, of each window. The recurring theme in this project is the concrete and the other materials cities are modernized and expanded with: metal, fences or buildings under construction are associated with  geometric patterns and contrasts between historical and modern buildings in each location. Soon, the artist will dedicate a similar project to the city of Rome.
In this way, ContestaRockHair wants to conclude the Art Exhibition Season 2010-2011. Everything will be mixed with drinks and rock music, as usual. Opening Thursday, July 28 – 7 pm.
